The South Forty Golf Course and Driving Range is a challenging 9 hole, par 3, links style golf course. We are located in Cortez, Colorado; just northeast of the Four Corners area where the four states of Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Utah meet. The course and range are located on 50 acres. The area is surrounded by the Ute Mountain, Mesa Verde, and the La Plata Mountain Range. A creek runs through the middle of the course, thus offering several challenging crossings.
We are very user friendly and offer reasonable rates. Family oriented, we encourage golfers to bring their spouses and children. Children 12 years and younger play free with a paying adult. There is also an area near the driving range that can be used for a “bring your own lunch” picnic.
(The South Forty is Pet Friendly)
Since we are often self-service, we are open daily, weather permitting, from sun-up till sun-down. The ball dispenser for the driving range works on $1 bills or tokens only. It takes $2 for a half bucket, or $4 for a full bucket of balls. A round of golf is only $10 for adults and $5 for students over 12 years old. We take cash and checks only.
Bruce and Nancy Maness
are the co-owners of the South Forty Golf Course and Driving Range.
Bruce completed the 9 hole links style golf course in 2007. He continues to be the superintendent, manager and grounds keeper while Nancy takes care of customer service and communications. They both have an easy going style of management. Customers know that they can enjoy a game with as little stress and rules as possible. People are encouraged to come as they are and play a carefree game of golf.
